JavaScript Job: Front End Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and implement the prioritized application backlog
• Develop conversion and feature optimization tests to improve the KPIs driving site and business performance
• Work closely with the PM and other business partners to translate and implement new designs and interactive front-end experiences and ensure the feasibility of UI designs
• Translate technical requirements and mockups into fully functioning sites using HTML/CSS/JS, including React.
• Assist Project/Product Managers with solutions development and approaches to achieve new business requirements
• Develop and improve online experiences across brand groups with best practices for mobile and desktop
• Develop and maintain the website style guide. Ensure all site elements are consistent with the style guide and meet usability and accessibility best practices

Competencies:

• A recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
• Minimum 1-3 years of professional development experience
• Strong proficiency in writing modern front-end JavaScript, including experience working with Vue.js or React and configuring JavaScript tooling.
• Experience building high-quality, responsive layouts with smooth interactions, transitions, and animations
• Proficiency in working with version control systems
• Fluency in interpreting and working with third-party APIs
• Experience with cross-browser and device testing websites
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in setting up development and staging environments
• Proficient in using and altering MySQL databases
• Familiarity with domain management and DNS records
• Team player with the ability to work alone, with self-starter abilities to prioritize demands and manage expectations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field would be nice to have

Salary: From $65,000.00 per year
